Ever since True Tram Trunk (T3) opened its doors at the upmarket Juhu area of Mumbai, the grungy American pub-like bar has become the centre of nightlife attention among the youth and those who love to party the night away to great music, great food and an amazing slew of crafts, draughts and spirits. Spread across 2 floors – the first one being the bar/pub area, and the upper level being an open to air terrace, aptly named Tru Tramm Trunk Terrace (T4), which sports chique furnishing and an uber cool ambience.
A definite highlight of the place in addition to its signature FnB service is undoubtedly the music, with venue dishing out a variety of genres ranging from retro to pop to commercial and everything in between. The pub/bar section, which is accessible to patrons from noon onwards, plays a mix of genres, which invariably ends up with high energy music playing on during the later hours at night – especially characteristic of weekends. The same holds true for T4, which hosts its own dedicated music charter.
A crucial element that builds this electric ambience at T3 and T4 respectively is its characteristic signature sound, courtesy of a comprehensive pro audio setup from industry stalwart Roger Drego’s signature series of products which is found at each of the respective venues.
At T3, the space features multiple numbers of the compact and efficient RD6 and RD10 loudspeakers which ensures high quality audio delivery consistently across the venue, while the RD18W subwoofers provides impressive low frequency fidelity all through. The loudspeaker system here is amplified by two RD 4.08 power amplifiers and a single RD4.14 power amplifier; with a dB-Mark XCA24 DSP sorting the signal processing and management solution.
T4 on the other hand features a precise yet extremely effective and efficient setup with multiple numbers of RD10 loudspeakers providing high quality consistent coverage across the open air space, with the RD12W compact subwoofers providing an impactful low frequency punch. The loudspeaker system here again is amplified by two RD 4.08 power amplifiers and a single RD4.14 power amplifier; with a single unit of the Marani DPA260 DSP enforcing the signal processing and management solution.
The management at T3 and T4 respectively are all praises for their respective audio systems asserting that the quality of sound, coverage and sheer impact is everything that they could have asked for and much more!
